From December 11, 2022 to March 26, 2023, the installation "Steel Reed", created by Dong Gong in collaboration with artist Nu Li, is exhibiting in the Virtual & Material section of the 9th Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture. The theme of this section is "Xushixiangsheng", which aims to present the dialectical significance of sustainable development in the world of material and virtual in the form of twin exhibitions of materials and games. The starting point of thinking about "Steel Reed" was a dialogue about space perception between architect Dong Gong and artist Nu Li. Virtual and real, power and ingenuity, definition and polysemous, the physical nature and perception of materials are words that have been mentioned many times in the dialogue.
